Carmen Hall, PhD, BCBA-D is the coordinator and professor in the Autism & Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate Program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. Her work has focused on social skill research, including peer-mediated social skills in childcare, schools, and camp settings, technology integration in education, and early intervention. In the past number of years Carmen’s research has focused on teaching independent life skills to adults with intellectual disabilities. Through this work she has extensive experience with the VB-MAPP and other social skill assessments to assist in designing programming, tracking progress, and maintaining skills. In 2013, she was named an Apple Distinguished Educator; in 2014 she received the College Sector Educator Award, and in 2015 received the President’s Distinguished Achievement Award for teaching.
Kimberly Maich, PhD, OCT, BCBA-D is an associate professor in Memorial University’s Faculty of Education. The primary focus of her teaching, research, writing, and service is Autism Spectrum Disorder in inclusive environments. Her latest award is the Distinguished Alumni Award from Redeemer University (2019). She is also a Registered Psychologist (Provisional; master’s-level). Carmen and Kimberly have new book coming out in August 2020 entitled ASD in the Canadian Context: An Introduction.
